If your app relies on user media, you want to provide your users all the means to access and use the media in the app. Google photos is the most popular media storage platform for Android users and getting access to the media is possible via several options. This talk will give an overview of some of the existing options (cloud access using native photo picker and intent based actions launching google photos). But, the talk will mainly focus on the Google photos picker API (https://developers.google.com/photos/picker/guides/get-started-picker) that was introduced in April 2025 and walk through with a step by step code example of accomplishing the integration.
