This session shares a variety of learnings from the journey of scaling Reddit's localization support up to 35+ languages. Key topics will be: - Overview of our in-house l10n pipeline - Correctly implementing an in-app language picker for both pre- and post-Android 13 (and whether or not you need one) - Integrating on-demand resource delivery - Ensuring consistency between app string localization and BE string localization - RTL language support and regression testing strategies - 1-off issues + fixes encountered with specific languages (Bengali numerals, Thai line breaks, etc.) - Supporting pseudolocales in internal builds for localization testing
