Accessibility and AI are both rapidly changing the way Android teams build applications, but many questions remain unresolved. Where can AI meaningfully support accessibility work on mobile? Where does it help teams move faster, and where does human expertise still matter most? How do developers avoid introducing new issues while relying on AI-generated code and recommendations? This roundtable invites Android developers to share their experiences and explore practical approaches for integrating accessibility into modern development workflows. Together, we’ll discuss challenges such as identifying accessibility issues earlier in the development process, using AI-assisted tools for testing and remediation, improving accessibility in component design and UI patterns, and balancing automation with human judgment. Rather than presenting a single solution, this discussion aims to crowdsource ideas, lessons learned, and actionable strategies from the community.
